Day 1: Arrive at Tehran

Arrival in Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA), our representative will meet and assist you to be transferred to the hotel. (35 Km).

Day 2: Tehran

We will meet at around 9:00 a.m. to explore the vibrant cosmopolitan city of Tehran (the capital of Iran).

Today’s sightseeing includes a visit to the World Heritage Site – the former Royal Qajar Complex, Golestan Palace. Then, we will continue to the Iran National Museum and a visit to the Grand Bazaar, the focal point of commerce in Tehran.

For lunch we will experience and enjoy the famous Iranian traditional Food “Dizi”, at one of the oldest traditional Persian Restaurants. While we enjoy our Food, our Tourguide will also explain us how this Meal is done and what are the ingredients of it.

The afternoon will be dedicated to a visit to the Azadi Tower, the symbol of Tehran, a wonderful white structure that shines like a jewel on the west side of Tehran.

At night, there will be free time for you to take some rest or possibly visit the Nature Bridge (Tabiat Bridge) which is the largest pedestrian overpass in Tehran. Our Dinner will also be in a famous district of Tehran, where you can see what the Tehrani people do usually when they go out?

Day 3: Tehran-Qazvin-Rasht

Today, we leave Tehran for one of the foodie destinations in Iran, Rasht. enroute we make a stop in the historical city Qazvin and visit the old Gate and Mosque from Qazvin and have also the local meal of the city “Gheymeh Nesar” as our lunch. We continue to Rasht, the city in the north of Iran has a world reputation not only for its beautiful landscape as lies along the Caspian Sea but also for its selection as a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO. Here, we will visit Gilan Rural Heritage Museum, the first eco-museum in Iran, as well as the Rasht lively local bazaar which you will be fascinated by the colors and flavors. Then, we will go to the hotel. For dinner we are going to experience the traditional Caspian Fish and green vegetable Rice.  (320km)

Day 4: Rasht- A Northern Village

Today, we will experience an exemplary day by drowning in the tastes and flavors of Gilaki foods.

Early morning, we depart Rasht for one of the green villages of Gilan with its charming scenery and pleasant weather to create a special day by cooking super scrumptious Gilaki foods, including Mirza Ghasemi, Baghala Ghatogh, and Sour Kebab. We will make these yummy grubs in the cozy atmosphere of a beautiful eco-lodge along with tasting the organic tea and homemade cookies. For dinner, we are going to taste our cooking together. What a surprise! (100km)

Day 5: Masouleh- Fuman

Morning drive to visit a historical traditional village with its eye-catching architecture, Masouleh, the village which is truly worth visiting. Afterward, we will continue our road trip to Fuman to experience a different stay surrounded by tea farms. Today also we are going to the traditional Bakers in Fuman and will not just eat the traditional tasty breads, also will get informed how to make them. Today we will enjoy also at one traditional Restaurants, the Sour-Chicken Meal from North, that is called Morghe Torsh.  (200km)

Day 6: Fuman- Tehran

Today, we have the opportunity to explore Qaleh Rud Khan castle, a mysterious monument which is located 25 km southwest of Fuman. After this alluring hiking, we will continue our way to Tehran.

At night, there will be free time for you to take some rest or possibly a visit and walk at Tochal, a famous chilling place with view to Teheran  that includes also some famous Persian Restaurants are close to this place, that will give us the opportunity to try and enjoy some more Persian foods.   (336km)

Day 7: Tehran-Kashan-Isfahan

Today, we will start our cultural tour in magnificent Persia with a short stop in Kashan to visit a historical UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Persian Fin Garden beside the spectacular traditional Borujerdi House. Then, we will enjoy different kind of Traditional foods of Kashan as our lunch at a very Special historical House that has a lovely atmosphere, we continue to Isfahan and spend some time on the historical bridges (Khajoo and Sio-se-pol) over the roaring Zayandeh Rud River and enjoy the dinner at the old and famous traditional Restaurant “Sharzad”, where we have the opportunity enjoy the Persian meal “Fessenjan”, a combination from Rice, Safran, Walnuts, Pomegranate Sauce and chicken or lamb. Also don’t forget to try the Safran-Ice-cream as your desert! (456km)

Day 8: Isfahan

Our tour for today will include a full-day visit to the eye-catching Naqsh-e Jahan Square (UNESCO). We will explore one of the world’s most magnificent mosques, the Imam and Sheikh Lutfullah mosques, the former is the largest and the most splendid monument of the Safavid dynasty, and the latter is the stunning religious structure shining at the eastern side of Naqsh-e Jahan Square. On the western side of the square, another magic building, Ali Qapu Palace, stands out which served as the official residence of Persian kings during the Safavid reign. We will also have time to visit Chehel Sotoon Palace with its 20 columns that reflect on the water of the pool making it look 40.

For lunch we are going to experience the regional food of Isfahan “Biryani” with also the  famous “Khoresht Mast” as our Desert.

In the afternoon, we will not miss the most memorable and artistic treasure of the Armenian Christians in Isfahan, the Vank Cathedral, as well as the pleasant moments of walking in the Armenian quarters with its fragrant smell of coffee.

Our Dinner will be tonight at the famous and historical Hotel Abbasi, where the traditionally Hall and Persian Art on the Walls will give us a lovely Ambience, while we are enjoying  our local Dinner there.

Day 9: Isfahan- Izadkhast- Shiraz

In the morning, we head for Shiraz, however, we plan to stop at Izadkhast to visit the magnificent castle, the first five-story building in Iran, dating back to the Sassanid era. Also this Houses are called as the first Apartments at the world!

Today we will enjoy a nice Persian picnic at a farmer how we will feel there very welcome by the owner and enjoy the Farm while we have our delicious Persian picnic as lunch.

Then, we make our way to Shiraz to be immersed in the beauty of the city of astonishing gardens and renowned poets.

At night, we are going to spend some time beside the tomb of Hafez and went finally for dinner to the most famous restaurant of the City with view to the City.  (485km)

Day 10: Shiraz

In the early morning, we are going to be surprised by sunlight passing through the colorful windows at the mesmerizing Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, which is also known as the Pink Mosque. Undoubtedly, this mosque is one of the astonishing sites in Shiraz to make you get lost in colors. Then we will walk to the Bazaar of Shiraz and enjoy the authentic Atmosphere, while we enjoy a traditional Shirazi lunch at a small family Restaurant at the Bazaar.

Our next sight for visit will be the traditional Vakil-Bath (Hamam) and the famous Zand- Citadel.

Shiraz is famous for nightlife and has plenty of traditional Restaurants, so we are going tonight to have our Dinner at a Restaurants, where we have not just fresh Kebab, also thanks to the Bakery at the Restaurant, the Bread will also be special.

Day 11: Shiraz- Persepolis- Shiraz

In the early morning we will have an excursion to visit the awesome ruins of the ancient world, Persepolis. It is considered the highlight of Iran. Without question, here is the symbol of glory and strength of ancient Persia, admiring this precious civilization and history with every step you take.

Moreover, we will visit the elegant Achaemenid tombs at Naqsh-e Rostam and the archeological site of Naqsh-e Rajab.

After our visits we have another culinary tour in a well-equipped kitchen with a professional chef to taste Persian food, the magic world of fragrant, diverse, and highly refined dishes. We are going to have a joyful day full of sweet experiences.

Back to Shiraz, our interesting day will be finished by tasting one of the famous grubs of Shiraz, Faloodeh and an other traditional Dinner.

Then, turn back hotel to take some rest. (100 km)

  • Most tours are based on customers sharing twin-bedded rooms. If you book as an individual, you will be roomed with someone of the same sex. However, we offer the opportunity to pay a supplement to pre-book a single room.

We regularly run this small-group tour. All departures are guaranteed to run if a minimum of 2 travelers is reached. If we do not reach this minimum number, we will offer you to either pay a supplement to do the tour exactly as planned, to change your date, to take another tour, or we will provide you with a full refund. Departure dates and prices are listed on our website and in our brochure. Please check the website for the most up-to-date prices and special offers.

Passports should be valid for at least six months after your departure from the country. Please do not bring an almost full or almost expired passport. Visa arrangements are the responsibility of the traveller.

We use good quality  4-star Hotels on this tour. Local star ratings may vary slightly from international standards. Accommodation is based on double or twin en-suite rooms with air conditioning.

All couples will have a private double room.

Single travelers must pay extra to have their private room.

We use a private AC van, middle bus or bus throughout this tour, subject to the final size of the group. All our Vans, middle Buses and private cars are quiet new and our Drivers are well trained by us for working in the Tourism-Industry.

  • What is the best time to visit Iran?

    The best time to visit Iran is normally from April to May and from September to early November. However, Iran, as a vast country is a destination for all four seasons. For instance, in July and August, the west and northwest of Iran are the best choices due to cooler weather, mixed with classic routes, such as Tabriz, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and Hamedan. The months of November, December, January, and February are the best time for traveling to south Iran and visiting the islands of Qeshm, Kish, Chabahar, and Bushehr.

  • What is the main currency in Iran?

    The national currency in Iran is the Iranian Rial (IRR). However, due to the dramatic decrease in Iran’s currency value, Iranians informally use Toman to make daily transactions easier. Each Toman equals 10 Rials and you just need to omit one zero to find out the value in Toman.

  • Is it safe to travel to Iran?

    Iran is generally safe for foreign travelers and Iranians are well-known for their warm hospitality. But if you are still in doubt, let a licensed Iranian tour operator or travel agency organize a hassle-free tour for you.

  • Can American, British, and Canadian citizens get a visa for Iran?

    Yes, they absolutely can! They are just required to travel with a licensed local guide across the country and arrange their visas in advance.

  • Should I wear a hijab in Iran as a woman?

    Foreign women should wear hijab in Iran according to the country’s laws. But just a loose hijab covering their hair, neck, arms, and legs is enough. Chador and burqa are not mandatory. Chador is just mandatory in some religious sites, including some mosques or shrines, and is offered to the visitors at the entrance.

  • Is my credit card accepted in Iran?

    Credit cards and debit cards do not work in Iran, unfortunately, due to the sanctions. So, you can either bring enough cash with you during your trip to Iran or exchange money at the airport or exchange offices across the cities. Iranian debit cards are also available.

  • Is there internet access in Iran?

    Yes, you can access Wi-Fi in most public places, such as hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops. However, due to filtering on some social media and websites, you should use a VPN to unblock them. You can also use data internet by buying a local SIM card in the airport or mobile shops.

  • Can I drink alcohol in Iran?

    Alcoholic drinks are forbidden according to the country’s laws.

  • Can I find vegetarian restaurants in Iran?

    You can find a great variety of vegetarian meals in the Persian culinary, as well as vegetarian restaurants in larger cities. If you are going to travel to Iran on a tour, you’d better inform the tour operator or the travel agency in advance.
